Job Summary
As our Treasury Controller for Operational Risk youll be at the heart of our missionbuilding a safer more resilient financial network for millions of global customers. This newly created role offers you the chance to make a genuine difference as we scale up launch new products and prepare for our US listing.
This role is your springboard to build a best-in-class Treasury risk environment at a company thats scaling at pace. Your Mission
Shape the future of Treasury: You will have the opportunity to design and build our Treasury operational risk framework to allow us to identify measure and report on operational risk.
You will coordinate the design and implementation of effective internal first line controls within our Treasury operations team to help build efficiency and maintain an effective control environment. This will span across our Treasury money movement FX execution and engineering teams.
Drive Change Through Insight: Identify measure and report on operational risksusing your expertise to develop impactful Key Risk Indicators and dashboards for Wise leadership.
Own End-to-End Solutions: Take ownership as you deliver process improvements coordinate with teams to implement and test business continuity plans and help embed risk management and effective control environments in everything we do.
Fuel Innovation: Partner with world-class engineers and product leaders to streamline processes and support the launch of game-changing financial products challenging the status quo along the way.
As part of 1LoD be a trusted advisor to the Treasury and Product teams by supporting new product launches designing reporting capabilities and advising on appropriate risk appetite.
You will work closely with our operations team to ensure our operating environment is scalable and ready to service our ambitious product plans.
Lead with Influence: Chair our Treasury Operational Risk Committee driving group-level discussions shaping risk culture and ensuring Wise remains resilient for our customersand compliant on the global stage.
Make a Company-Wide Impact: Directly support regulatory submissions and critical audits as we transition to SOX compliance and public markets helping Wise become the standard for operational excellence in Fintech.
Qualifications :
Practical experience designing implementing and monitoring operational risk controls within fast-paced or high-volume environments.
A strong understanding of risk frameworks internal controls and delivering on compliance requirements (FIN SOX etc.).
The confidence to influence challenge and collaborate with stakeholders from across Treasury Product Operations and Engineering.
Commercial acumen: you know how to balance risk with speed and innovation.
Passion for problem-solving and delivering changealways with a proactive solution-focused mindset.
Prior experience in Treasury Finance or regulated environments is a plus but not essential; curiosity and willingness to learn matter most.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; data skills (SQL/Python) a plus.
