Commercial Analyst intern (mfd)

Overview:

Deezers Commercial team builds and manages B2B partnerships to drive growth and revenue. This includes distribution deals where partners such as telcos or digital platforms offer Deezer to their customers as well as custom music solutions tailored for businesses (from white-label apps to modular features or point-of-sale background music services) whether theyre monetized or ad-supported.

 We are looking for a motivated Commercial Analyst intern in the Business Operations team to support our Global Commercial team. Your role will involve leveraging data for strategic planning and performance monitoring supporting decision-making processes and enhancing data quality across our partnership portfolio (both new and existing deals over all countries).

This is a 6-month internship starting in January 2026 based in Paris (gap year or end-of study internships). 

What you will be doing:

• Deal sizing (for new and existing partnerships): Conduct business analysis and modelling (Business Plan) to forecast deal potential over the years ensuring accuracy and consistency. 
• Monitoring Performance: Track and assess the performance of existing partnerships (incl. Budget and reforecast exercises along with the FP&A team) identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Analytics & Insights: Analyze business performance across sales and account management identify key trends and growth levers that reflect both market realities and our strategic ambitions.
• Communicate Financials: Translate complex BP into actionable insights and present these findings to stakeholders through compelling visualisations and reports.
• Collaborative Business Intelligence: Work closely on a weekly basis with cross-functional teams (such as Labels Finance Pricing and Data Analytics teams) to improve KPIs acumen and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Support Decision Making: Provide analytical support for strategic decisions including preparation for board meetings and C-level strategic analysis helping to align partnership strategies with broader company goals.

Qualifications :

What we are looking for:

• Masters student in Business or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial/business modelling.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel) and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal & written. 
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and balance short and long-term projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Excitement to work within a music-oriented environment is a big plus!
