Job Summary

You are a Media Associate.

We are hiring for two positionsone in Toronto and one in Calgary.

You will gain hands-on experience across the full 360 media planning and buying ecosystem. This role is a foundational training ground - givingyouexposure to every stage of the planning process while supporting the media strategy team across all channels and platforms.

Weoperatein a fast-paced agile to be comfortable wearing many hats pivoting quickly and embracing new tools and technologies as theyemerge. Success in this role requires strong prioritization skills attention to detail anda genuineeagerness to learn.

What are your responsibilities

  • Support costing and planning activities byobserving shadowing andassistingthe media team throughout the planning process.
  • Buildproficiencyin media management and buying platforms ensuringaccuratesetup maintenance and delivery of campaigns.
  • Review andmaintainestimates reconcile draft billing and ensure all financial inputs align with approved plans and contracts.
  • Check andvalidatesystem inputs against estimates contracts and media plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct research runs and synthesize findings to support strategic recommendations.
  • Set up andmaintainblocking charts for all media plans ensuring schedulesremainup to date.
  • Provide detailed support for booking traditional media including print out-of-home and audio placements.
  • Complete broadcast goal uploads and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with production and account teams on creative specifications formats and material deadlines.
  • Liaise with media suppliers to gather information confirm details and ensure campaign accuracy.
  • Source and compile data for pre- and post-buy reports across print out-of-home and other channels.
  • Maintain monthly Budget Control Reportsidentifyingand resolving any billing discrepancies.
  • Input media campaigns across platforms with precision and attention to detail.
  • Develop POVs on media opportunities industry trends and emerging tools.
  • Participate actively in training and learning opportunities to continue building channelexpertise.

What type of person should I be

  • 1-2years ofpaidmedia-specific experience at a brand or agency
  • Education in advertising marketing media communications ora related field.
  • Highly organized digitally fluent and platform-agnostic with a strong understanding of how audiences behave across channels including social search programmatic video display audio out-of-home and print.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of major ad platforms including Facebook Ads Manager Google Ads and exposure to DSPs (e.g. The Trade Desk DV360) is an asset.
  • Experience supporting integrated paid media campaigns across digital and traditional channels - social search programmatic video audio print and out-of-home.
