Job Description:

Reporting to the Director Talent Acquisition the Specialist Talent Acquisition Sourcing plays a key role in advancing The Salvation Armys mission by building proactive talent pipelines and sourcing strategies that ensure we attract engage and nurture top talent across multiple industry sectors in Canada and Bermuda.

This role is responsible for identifying and engaging both active and passive candidates developing creative sourcing campaigns and partnering closely with Talent Acquisition Specialists and Hiring Managers to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality candidates.
With a deep understanding of market trends sourcing technologies and TSAs values this position contributes to workforce readiness by supporting current and future hiring needs while ensuring an exceptional candidate and customer experience.

Accountabilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Talent Pipelining

  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify attract and engage qualified candidates for key and hard-to-fill roles across the various sectors at TSA.
  • Build and maintain a network of talent pipelines for current and future organizational needs through proactive outreach and relationship management.
  • Use Boolean searches job boards social media professional associations and referral programs to identify diverse candidate pools.
  • Partner with TA Specialists to understand upcoming talent requirements and create aligned sourcing plans.
  • Conduct market research and talent mapping to identify potential candidates and organizations with transferable skillsets.
  • Promote TSA as an employer of choice through mission-based storytelling engaging outreach messaging and personalized follow-ups.

Application Review & Assessment

  • Review and evaluate inbound applications received through job postings and internal referrals to identify candidates who meet the minimum and preferred qualifications for open roles.
  • Screen resumes for relevant experience education and alignment with TSAs mission values and competencies.
  • Collaborate with TA Specialists to prioritize and advance qualified applicants into the recruitment process in a timely manner.
  • Ensure candidate assessments and communications are accurately documented within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on applicant trends quality and volume to inform sourcing strategies and workforce planning.

Candidate Engagement

  • Manage outreach screening and relationship management with early-stage candidates to assess alignment with TSA values and requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with passive candidates and nurture relationships to ensure long-term engagement.
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience by communicating with empathy professionalism and consistency.
  • Represent TSA at external events online communities and virtual fairs to expand awareness and attract talent.

Data Analytics & Collaboration

  • Track sourcing activity candidate flow and pipeline metrics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and continuously improve strategy.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Director Talent Acquisition on market availability candidate engagement rates and pipeline health.
  • Collaborate with TA Specialists to transfer qualified candidates into the active recruitment process.
  • Support the continuous improvement of sourcing tools ATS integrations and CRM practices.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns.

Education Skills and Capabilities:

Education Qualifications and Certifications:

  • College diploma or university degree in Human Resources Business Administration Communications or related field.
  • Professional recruitment designation (e.g. RPR CHRP/CHRL) considered an asset.
  • Alternative combination of experience and education may be considered

Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment or sourcing preferably in a high-volume or multi-site organization.
  • Demonstrated success using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter Indeed social media platforms and Boolean search.
  • Experience building pipelines for specialized or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday strongly preferred).
  • Exposure to employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Strong research and sourcing acumen with creativity in finding and engaging top talent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of crafting compelling outreach messages.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sourcing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset able to interpret data and turn insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media recruiting tools.
  • Strong alignment with TSAs mission vision and values; ability to represent the organization authentically and compassionately.
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $66831.48 to $83539.35 with a maximum of $100247.22.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
