JOB PURPOSE
The Associate Dean Health Services supports the Dean Community Health Trades & Apprenticeship in leading the design delivery and continuous quality improvement of all Health Services programming at Six Nations Polytechnic. The role ensures academic and regulatory compliance program relevance and student success by overseeing curriculum development instructional quality and program evaluation alignment with Hodinǫshǫ:nih/Rotinonhson:ni values of Ganigohi:yo:/Kanikoriio (Respect and the Good Mind) the position fosters culturally grounded high-quality health education and maintains effective relationships with faculty students and community and institutional partners.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program Planning Delivery & Quality Assurance 40 %
- Leading the planning organization and continuous improvement of Health Services programs.
- Producing the annual 18-month Program Plan;
- Overseeing curriculum revisions and implementation of new programs;
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and accreditation standards;
- Conducting quality assurance reviews and develops responsive action plans;
- Facilitating Program Advisory Committee meetings;
- Coordinating instructor onboarding and professional development.

Academic and Student Support Leadership
20%
- Overseeing academic processes supporting student success including academic audits degree audits grade reviews and appeals;
- Identifying students at risk and coordinating
interventions;
- Evaluating credit transfer requests course waivers and prior learning equivalencies;
- Ensuring fair and timely academic decisions consistent with institutional and partner policies.
- Other related duties as ;
Academic Governance and Policy Implementation 15%
- Participating in developing revising and applying academic policies processes and standards;
- Serving on internal committees adjudication panels for academic misconduct and program advisory bodies;
- Ensuring consistent policy application across the Unit and alignment with partner institutions;

Supervision and Administrative Management 15%
- Supervising contract teaching staff including Instructors Field Placement Specialists and Teaching Assistants;
- Overseeing performance reviews and professional development planning.
- Preparing detailed monthly and quarterly reports manages budgets within assigned parameters and supports program partnership agreements;
- Other related duties as ;
Community and Institutional Engagement10%
- Representing
SNP Health Services on internal and external committees and community-based organizations;
- Supporting student recruitment initiatives develops promotional materials and contributes to institutional events such as Convocation;
- Promoting a culturally supportive learning and working environment consistent with Hodinǫshǫ:nih/Rotinonhson:ni values.

EDUCATIONAL KNOWLEDGE
Completion of a masters degree in a specialized or occupational field or completion of an undergraduate degree plus professional certification
in adult education health public health management education public policy
EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / CULTURE AND LANGUAGE EXPERTISE
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in postsecondary institutional administration preferably within health sciences or related academic programs. Experience should include program planning curriculum oversight academic governance and quality assurance responsibilities.
Hands-on experience supervising teaching staff coordinating program delivery and implementing policies and processes in an academic environment.
Demonstrated experience with student academic support including advising evaluating course waivers/credit transfers and adjudicating academic issues.
Experience participating in budget management reporting and cross-departmental collaboration including interactions with institutional leadership faculty students and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards relevant to health services programming is strongly preferred.
Additional Relevant Experience:
Proven ability to foster a culturally supportive teaching and learning environment preferably aligned with Indigenous values (e.g. Hodinǫshǫ:nih/Rotinonhson:ni
Ganigohi:yo:/Kanikoriio).
Engagement in professional development conference participation or membership in relevant associations is considered an asset.
