Position Summary:
The City is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist with a specialized focus on ergonomics to oversee and advance the citywide health and safety program. This role centers on developing modifying implementing and directing a comprehensive occupational safety program for the Office of Risk Management on a citywide basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Education:
General Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of personnel administration or industrial engineering experience one year of which has involved investigating analyzing and evaluating program practices operational or industrial processes and employee injuries as they relate to industrial safety.
Specific Experience:
One year of occupational safety administration experience which has been directing an occupational safety program for a large agency or in a small agency with a complex structural safety program.
Certifications & Licensure:
Valid Pennsylvania drivers license (or eligibility to obtain one).
Physical & Medical Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical evaluations including lifting demonstrations workstation assessments and on-site field inspections in varied environments.
