A well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Colchester is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time permanent position within a supportive DT department that values creativity innovation and real-world design thinking.
You will teach DT across KS3KS4 contributing to both theoretical learning and practical project development. The department covers a diverse range of DT strands including Product Design Resistant Materials Graphics and introductory Engineering principles. As part of your role you will guide students through structured design processes build their understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques and help them develop the confidence to prototype evaluate and refine their work.
Classrooms and workshops are fully equipped with:
3D printers and laser cutters
Modern CAD/CAM software
Specialist machinery for wood metal and plastics
Dedicated technician support
