About the Role

As the Art Technician you will play a vital part in ensuring that lessons run smoothly and that the department maintains a safe inspiring environment for students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing materials and resources for KS3KS5 lessons

  • Assisting with setting up and clearing practical workspaces

  • Ensuring equipment such as brushes palettes tools easels and specialist media are maintained

  • Managing stock ordering supplies and monitoring inventory levels

  • Keeping the studios clean safe and organised in line with school H&S expectations

  • Helping mount present and display student artwork across the school

  • Assisting students during coursework sessions exhibitions and creative workshops

This role suits someone artistic hands-on and proactive whether your background is fine art photography textiles ceramics or mixed media.

Experience and Skills

  • Background in Art Design Photography or similar preferred

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and support busy creative spaces

  • Confident working independently and as part of a team

  • Positive calm and practical approach

Training will be offered especially regarding school policies safeguarding and equipment use.

Salary

Competitive dependent on experience. Term-time only.
