About Wooptix
Wooptix is a semiconductor wafer metrology innovator that provides the fastest most accurate in-line measurements with the highest lateral resolution. Through its use of wavefront phase imaging (WFPI) a proprietary technique derived from research in adaptive optics its systems measure the shape uniformity nanotopography and roughness of the entire silicon wafer in a single image. It is actively deploying solutions at various customer sites across Asia Europe and North America.
Together with their resistance to vibrations and ease of adapting to the users needs they are valuable systems for measuring the wafer shape and nanotopography in a single image.
Our Mission
We design and develop disruptive metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry delivering unmatched resolution and precision with the highest throughput.
About the role
We are looking for 2 Test & Validation Engineers to join our growing Product department. Withing the function of Measurement and Integration
Youll play a key role in transforming design concepts into validated reliable products by developing test setups executing validation campaigns and ensuring that system requirements are met with data-backed evidence.
Youll work closely with System Engineering System integration Software and Design teams to design and perform test analyze results and contribute to the overall testing strategy for multiple product lines.
If you enjoy hands-on testing working with complex electromechanical and optical systems and bringing structure to validation processes this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute test and validation plans aligned with system requirements and product milestones.
- Design and implement measurement setups and optical test benches to verify system performance.
- Develop Python or similar scripts to automate data collection analysis and reporting.
- Perform optical alignment and mechanical/electrical integration during validation phases.
- Analyze measurement data identify trends and deviations and communicate findings clearly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design and integration teams to define testing strategies and resolve issues.
- Support the testing backlog and ensure traceability between requirements and validation results.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test methods documentation and reporting templates.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering Applied Physics or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in system testing validation or lab-based experimentation.
Proven experience with optical systems alignment or optical metrology is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of electromechanical systems and measurement principles.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation (power meters oscilloscopes DAQs sensors motion stages etc.).
- Good programming skills (preferably Python) for data automation and analysis.
- Familiarity with test planning requirement traceability and validation reporting.
- Structured and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive self-organized and comfortable in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
- Clear communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
