Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in COBOL development mainframe technologies and batch/online processing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance maintain and support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop test and implement applications using COBOL JCL VSAM and related mainframe technologies.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Support existing applications troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.
Perform unit testing debugging and performance tuning.
Work on both batch and online application development.
Collaborate with QA business analysts and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical documents and support guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with COBOL JCL VSAM CICS and mainframe utilities.
Experience working on IBM Mainframe (z/OS) environment.
Good understanding of SDLC agile methodologies and change management processes.
Experience in debugging performance optimization and production support.
Knowledge of file structures batch scheduling tools and database concepts (DB2 preferable).
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
