Summary:
-
Perform or assist with on-aircraft electrical modifications wiring and system component work.
-
Execute basic connector terminations including shielded wires coaxial cables and fiber optics.
-
Understand wire routing handling sealing wrapping bonding tying and harness closure per standard processes.
-
Read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders specifications and retrofit requirements.
-
Follow government and company procedures while performing assembly installation inspections and operational checks.
-
Assist in troubleshooting aircraft electrical and environmental systems at organizational or depot level.
-
Support bench/flight line operational testing and troubleshooting per DOD OEM and company directives.
-
Assist with assembly installation testing and modification of wire bundles during aircraft development and modification efforts.
-
Properly handle tools equipment and product; maintain necessary certifications and permits.
-
Use precision measuring tools and ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
-
Work from standard instructions blueprints wire diagrams sketches and verbal/electronic orders.
-
Work in confined spaces on ladders lift up to 35 lbs and support varying shifts weekends holidays and overtime.

Understand Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
-
Support cross-functional teammates (General Mechanics Structures Avionics).
-
Work 100% onsite in San Antonio; travel up to 25% may be required.
-
Must pass assessments during training and adhere to tool and FOD procedures.
Requirements:
-
High School diploma or GED
-
1 years of experience performing similar aircraft electrical duties.
-
1 years of experience/knowledge in electrical/electronic theory and systems.
-
Ability to work rotating shifts (1st 2nd or 3rd).
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
-
Ascend/descend ladders; work in confined spaces; lift 35 lbs.
-
Exposure to noise and elevated work platforms.
-
Use PPE (face eyes ears hands arms).
-
Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
-
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions; handle hazardous materials.
-
Frequent overhead reaching standing walking and ladder climbing.
-
Ability to crawl squat bend stoop operate foot controls and rotate head/neck.
-
Occasional metal contact and frequent noise exposure.
-
Occasional two-person lifts for loads over 50 lbs.
