Position Summary:

As a Junior Software Developer at Akselos you will be instrumental in developing features tools and plugins for the Akselos Modeler. Your role will involve fixing bugs building test suites and developing specialized scripts to automate engineering processes. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in software development while contributing to cutting-edge technology solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Feature Development: Design and implement new features tools and plugins for the Akselos Modeler and Akselos Portal web apps enhancing the platforms functionality and user experience.
• Bug Fixing: Identify troubleshoot and resolve software bugs to maintain high reliability and performance.
• Test Suite Management: Create build and maintain comprehensive test suites to ensure thorough testing and coverage of various run cases.
• Automation Scripting: Develop specialized scripts APIs to automate and streamline engineering processes improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.

Desired Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Good knowledge of web development languages such as HTML and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Mercurial.

Desired Business Skills:

• Competency in English for effective communication.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and skills.
• Effective team collaboration skills with the ability to work well with developers and engineers across different continents.
• Experience with Agile development practices (e.g. Scrum Kanban)

Optional:

• Strong foundation in mathematics including linear algebra matrix computation and spatial geometry
• Experience with Rust programming is a plus
• Experience with database management systems (SQL)
• Familiar with developing using AI tools (Github Copilot etc.)
