As a Locum MD in Cardiology you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care collaborating with healthcare professionals and ensuring the best outcomes for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients
- Conduct patient evaluations and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology practices and technologies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) with a specialization in Cardiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Previous experience as a cardiologist preferred
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 3-7 days per month
Setting: Inpatient/EMTALA call
Patient Population: Adults
Duties: Procedures general cardiology consults as needed and reading studies (including EKGs ECHOs and stress tests)
Required Procedures: Balloon angioplasties coronary angioplasties percutaneous coronary interventions heart catheterizations and coronary angiograms
Support Staff: 2 interventional cardiologists
EMR: Epic Cupid
Board certification required
