Position Overview Cashier/AR & AP Clerk
We are seeking an experienced Cashier/AR & AP Clerk who can balance customer-facing duties with accurate financial processing. This position supports cashier operations invoice management payment posting and account reconciliation in a fast-paced industrial environment. The Cashier/AR & AP Clerk must be dependable detail-oriented and comfortable communicating with customers vendors and drivers.
Key Responsibilities
Cashiering
Process customer transactions (cash checks electronic payments)
Issue receipts invoices and maintain accurate transaction logs
Balance cash drawer daily and prepare deposits
Provide excellent customer service to vendors and clients
Accounts Payable (AP)
Review and process vendor invoices
Match invoices with POs and receiving documents
Prepare payments and maintain vendor files
Assist with month-end close
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Generate and send customer invoices
Record incoming payments and reconcile accounts
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances
Support AR reporting and documentation
Candidate Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates in Accounting/Business preferred)
Experience in cashiering bookkeeping or AP/AR work
Strong math organization and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with QuickBooks Sage or similar software
Excellent communication and customer service
Comfortable working in an industrial yard environment when needed
Work Environment
Combination of office and outdoor yard exposure
Frequent interaction with customers vendors and truck drivers
Occasional overtime during peak periods
