We are hiring Staff Nurse-Cardiology Day Ward into our Hospital in Cork Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics and day procedures
Perform pre-assessment admission and discharge of day-case cardiology patients
Monitor patients post-procedure including ECG telemetry and vital signs
Assist with cardiac procedures such as angiography angioplasty pacemaker checks and stress testing
Recognise and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies
Administer medications safely including IV therapies
Educate patients and families on procedures recovery and follow-up care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adherence to hospital policies
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Support infection prevention patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Registration with NMBI or equivalent regulatory body
Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
Up-to-date knowledge of Cath Lab and cardiac procedures (desirable)
In-depth understanding of cardiac conditions
Telemetry experience (advantageous)
Minimum 2 years post-graduate acute nursing experience (essential)
Excellent contemporary nursing skills and clinical practice knowledge
Strong organisational abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
