This position is for a financial specialist to support the Wisconsin Centers for Nanoscale Technology (WCNT). The financial specialist will provide financial support to WCNT staff as well as internal and external users of the facilities. Duties will include center billing budgeting expense tracking financial reporting preparing purchase orders and assisting staff with purchasing and travel reimbursements. This position reports to the WCNT Director.

The University of Wisconsin Madison College of Engineering Wisconsin Centers for Nanoscale Technologies (WCNT) includes the Nanoscale Fabrication Center (NFC) the Soft Materials Characterization Laboratory (SMCL) and the Nanoscale Imaging and Analysis Center (NIAC). The centers are shared instrumentation facilities providing equipment facilities and expertise in nano-fabrication electron microscopy micro-analysis and soft materials characterization. The WCNT supports a broad range of research across UW-Madison by students staff faculty and by external academic and industry users.
The starting rate for the position is $23.00/hourbut is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

HS diploma with one year of relevant experience in business accounting or finance
Professional level and highly efficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel)
Working knowledge of Workday
UW Purchasing and other UW financial systems
Experience with purchasing records management financial reporting and financial policies
Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL
The ability to work independently with limited supervision
Required: HS diploma
Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree
