Job Summary

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate reliable and client-focused Female Community Support Worker to join our this role you will support individuals experiencing psychosocial disabilities or mental health challenges to build independence improve daily living skills and enhance their overall wellbeing across South Metro and Mandurah.

You will be supporting our clients on a varied roster. Availability across Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to clients with a mental health diagnosis focusing on recovery and community living goals
  • Coach and encourage independence through daily routines and decision-making
  • Encourage community access and engagement in local activities
  • Follow and contribute to individualised support plans
  • No personal care required

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent or relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with mental health and trauma challenges desirable
  • Passionate about client outcomes and mental health advocacy
  • General computer literacy and administration skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A current First Aid Certificate which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
  • Current valid Australian drivers licence and reliable vehicle

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check.

  • Pay rates starting at $43.23 (casual) per hour in accordance with the SCHADS Award
