Keene State College is seeking a creative forward thinker to join our Owls Admissions team as an Admissions Counselor. The successful candidate will implement and participate in recruitment activities and enjoy growing professionally in a business that brings new and exciting challenges every day. Essential to the fulfillment of our enrollment goals the position shares with all admissions officers common responsibilities representing Keene State College to all interested students with a focus on new initiatives to increase enrollment. Additional Responsibilities include recruiting and communicating with prospective students by attending college fairs visiting high in assigned territory; participating in campus programs and open houses; reading and reviewing applications for admissions in a paperless system; developing and maintaining territory management plan to build connections with prospective students and families
Other Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree (required by time of appointment) and one year of related experience in higher education (student exp. will be considered) or secondary school education. Proven oral and written communication skills; demonstrated experience with MS Office systems including Word Excel and relational databases; valid drivers license also required. Evening and weekend travel is required.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Additional related expereince; ability to work independently and part of a team; and proven collaboration skills. Additionally the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.
