With a rapidly growing footprint in the Western Boston Metro area this company partners with general contractors (GCs) to execute projects ranging from several hundred thousand to multi-million-dollar commercial installations.
Position Summary:The Business Development Manager will spearhead efforts to build and expand relationships with GCs and other stakeholders in the Western Boston Metro area. This role requires a proactive sales professional skilled in identifying opportunities closing deals and contributing to the companys growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors developers and property managers to secure landscape construction projects.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the commercial sector.
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Drive revenue growth by selling large-scale commercial landscape installations ranging from $500K to $5M.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals bids and presentations tailored to client needs.
Market Intelligence & Networking:
- Stay informed about market trends competitor activities and upcoming projects in the area.
- Represent the company at industry events trade shows and networking functions to enhance visibility and establish connections.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with estimating operations and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide feedback and insights to help refine offerings and improve client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the commercial construction or landscape industry.
- Established network of contacts with GCs and other decision-makers in the Western Boston Metro area.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction processes and the ability to discuss technical aspects of projects with clients.
- Exceptional negotiation presentation and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
