Senior Production Engineer
Location: Stavanger
Duration: 12 months with possibility for extension
Purpose of the Position
Responsible for all aspects of daily production from operated fields including reporting and communication with the host operator to secure and optimize production. The position supports the Operations Manager in managing production follow-up and reporting during operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair the Well Integrity Assessment Team.
- Provide advice to the Asset Manager on well and subsea integrity issues for operated fields.
- Act as focal point for operations of operated fields and liaison towards host operator.
- Coordinate daily production activities including quality assurance and data analysis.
- Monitor and optimize production wells on a daily basis.
- Prepare production reports and forecasts.
- Manage production allocation including well allocation.
- Ensure successful hydrocarbon flow from reservoir to point of sale.
- Contribute to defining and delivering yearly production KPIs.
- Maintain procedures and instructions related to production and operations.
- Responsible for start-up procedures and participation in start-up operations.
- Ensure establishment and updates of operations applications and data acquisition.
- Analyze well performance and plan/check well production tests.
- Plan evaluate and report well integrity testing.
- Handle flow assurance challenges (hydrates wax scale etc.).
- Execute flow assurance and production chemistry work.
- Prepare procedures for commissioning and handover activities.
- Contribute to HSE performance and ensure compliance with Norwegian regulations and company HSE policy.
- Communicate daily with and provide input to the Operations Manager.
- Actively cooperate within and across teams to ensure knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Education
- Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Training
- Introduction to Well Integrity.
- Hydrates Awareness.
- HMS regelverkskurs Drift offshore (RVK).
- NOFO grunnkurs.
- Integrated Production Modelling (PETEX).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with NCS activity and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in office software especially Excel.
- Experience with fields in early phase project execution operations and recommissioning.
- Knowledge of platform and subsea field development concepts.
- Familiarity with Norwegian rules regulations and relevant standards.
- Understanding of cost estimation and engineering.
- Experience with flow assurance and production reporting.
Personal Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proactive strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
- Good analytical skills including economic evaluation.
- Excellent Norwegian and English skills both written and verbal.
