Job Summary

Key responsibilities of an HVAC licensed contractor:

Installation:

Installing new HVAC systems in homes and businesses including proper sizing layout and placement of equipment.

Maintenance:

Performing routine inspections and servicing of existing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.

Repair:

Diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system malfunctions repairing or replacing faulty components and restoring system functionality.

Customer interaction:

Consulting with clients to understand their needs providing estimates for projects explaining system options and addressing concerns.

Code compliance:

Adhering to local building codes and regulations related to HVAC installation and maintenance.

Project management:

Overseeing the entire HVAC project including scheduling coordinating with other trades and ensuring timely completion.

Estimating costs:

Assessing project requirements and providing accurate cost breakdowns for labor and materials.

Quality control:

Inspecting completed installations to ensure proper functionality and adherence to industry standards.

Required skills and qualifications:

Technical knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems including principles of heating cooling ventilation and refrigeration.
