Our client a leading global professional services network is seeking a Credit Risk Team Member with German language skills to join their dynamic team in Warsaw Poland. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical individual to develop their expertise in credit risk methodologies and models while working with a renowned international network.
Position Overview
As a Credit Risk Team Member you will play a crucial role in developing documenting reviewing and enhancing credit risk methodologies and models. Your work will involve carrying out model validation projects responding to ad-hoc analysis requests and providing best practice guidance on credit risk governance frameworks. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and collaborate closely with colleagues from across the PwC Network particularly those in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Develop document review and enhance credit risk methodologies (e.g. IFRS 9 AIRB stress tests) and models (PD LGD EAD credit scoring models)
- Carry out projects related to model validation or performance assessment/monitoring
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests with a clear understanding of risk-specific measurements
- Review and provide best practice guidance on credit risk governance policy and procedure frameworks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients
- Cooperate daily with colleagues from the PwC Network especially PwC Germany
Requirements
- Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) and ability to communicate in German
- Completed or near completion of higher education in mathematics econometrics statistics finance or computer science
- Applied and proven knowledge of statistics
- Practical knowledge of credit risk modeling concepts (IFRS 9 and/or AIRB methods credit risk management processes)
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint/Excel)
- Interest in topic development and active participation in the German FS-Risk practice teams
- Availability for occasional business travel to Germany
- Willingness to learn new skills proactive and problem-solving characteristics
- Open proactive and honest communication style
- Structured self-organized work approach with high-quality results
- Experience in the financial sector (e.g. banking insurance other consulting firms) and knowledge of programming languages (C# Python SQL R Matlab SAS) and data science packages (tidyverse sklearn ) are a plus
