Job Title: Electrical Estimator OPEN TO JUNIORS (HND or higher)

Description:
We are hiring for our client a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in the design manufacture and integration of control systems and LV switchgear. They now wish to appoint an Electrical Control Panel Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator or electrically trained professional to contribute to the delivery of bespoke electrical solutions across a variety of sectors including water and wastewater treatment power generation food and beverage HVAC building services and industrial process control. The successful Electrical Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate and competitive costings ensuring all estimates are technically sound commercially viable and aligned with project requirements.

The Role:
Review and interpret client specifications drawings and tender documents to produce accurate and timely cost estimates
Liaise with customers to clarify requirements specifications and any necessary design modifications or approvals
Work with engineering and production teams to prepare detailed costings for control panels LV switchboards MCCs PLC/SCADA systems and automation projects
Source and verify supplier quotations ensuring materials and components are competitive and available within project deadlines
Support procurement and production by maintaining up-to-date cost data and forecasting project expenditure
Contribute to internal planning meetings to monitor lead times project progress and delivery schedules

The Person:
Minimum of 2 years experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a similar role within a control panel or switchgear manufacturing environment
Relevant electrical qualification (Apprenticeship HNC or HND)
Strong commercial awareness attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent communication skills both technical and client-facing
Desirable: Experience in electrical schematic design (AutoCAD) CUBIC modular system design or procurement/supply chain functions
