About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with strong experience across Africa (Gabon Benin Tago) to manage end-to-end accounting operations financial reporting and compliance activities. The role focuses on Accounts Payable (AP) management ensuring accurate vendor payments robust internal controls and alignment with corporate and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable including invoice processing reconciliations and vendor payments.
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support monthly and annual closings financial statements and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT WHT) and internal audit standards.
- Monitor daily cash flow and assist with payment runs and cash forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial alignment and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Commerce.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience preferably in the African region.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SageX SAP Tally or Oracle).
- CA/CMA Semi-Qualified (CMA Qualified preferred).
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable GL and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Analytical detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
