We are seeking a Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer to lead automation projects in the Life Sciences and pharmaceutical industry in Raleigh North Carolina. This role focuses on Emerson DeltaV systems cGMP-compliant solutions and full project lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design implementation and commissioning of DeltaV control systems for capital projects
- Develop batch sequencing phase logic and recipes following ISA-88 standards
- Design high-performance HMIs with DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate using ISA-101 guidelines
- Integrate third-party equipment using OPC UA Ethernet/IP Modbus and Foundation Fieldbus
- Manage project schedules budgets resources FAT and SAT
- Ensure compliance with GAMP5 cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
- Travel up to 25 percent for on-site support and commissioning
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Control Systems Chemical Engineering or related field
- 8 to 15 years of Life Sciences automation experience with DeltaV systems
- Strong knowledge of ISA-88 batch control ISA-101 HMI design and class-based configuration
- Experience with industrial networking electrical design and automation protocols
- Excellent leadership communication and project management skills
Preferred
- Experience with Rockwell Siemens PCS7 or Ignition
- Knowledge of historian solutions alarm management and advanced analytics
- DeltaV or project management certifications
