Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment automation systems and support utilities.
  • Diagnose PLC-related issues including checking input and output indicators interpreting I/O status tracing field devices and verifying proper signal flow.
  • Use clear troubleshooting logic to determine whether failures originate from sensors actuators wiring relays safety circuits or the PLC program.
  • Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives including fault codes parameter issues communication faults and power/command signal problems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics ladder logic diagrams wiring prints and panel layouts to accurately identify root causes and complete repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance calls quickly and professionally; provide clear communication to operators and fellow technicians.
  • Complete preventive maintenance corrective repairs PM checks and documentation with accuracy and consistency.
  • Verify and validate your work by confirming proper operation of equipment sensors motors and safety circuits before returning systems to production.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying chronic issues recommending reliability upgrades and assisting with small improvement projects.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety quality and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean organized work area and properly handle tools parts and components.
  • Assist in training or mentoring newer technicians when needed.
