We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide expert care to critically ill cardiac patients. This is a full-time night position with 12-hour shifts rotating weekends and holidays in a state-of-the-art Level 1 trauma center and top-ranked rehabilitation hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care including assessment diagnosis treatment and in-hospital follow-up
Manage complex heart failure and cardiac ICU patients including VV/VA ECMO mechanical circulatory support heart and lung transplant LVAD and post-operative cardiac surgery
Collaborate with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Follow the Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital Standards of Care

Required Qualifications

Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
Current Texas license to practice professional nursing
Certification by ANCC NCC AANP or AACN in acute care
BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (RN or NP) in cardiology cardiac care or cardiovascular nursing
