We are seeking an experienced and dedicated PICU Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care for critically ill pediatric patients in our Houston hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment within a leading childrens hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Review and optimize medication therapy plans in collaboration with physicians nurses and other healthcare team members
- Monitor drug therapies for efficacy safety and appropriateness in acute care pediatric patients
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide clinical recommendations
- Educate staff and families on medication use side effects and therapeutic plans
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Completed PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency training (current residents not eligible)
- Current experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in PICU acute care pediatrics or a childrens hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pediatric pharmacotherapy dosing and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication teamwork and critical thinking skills
