As a School Nurse youll ensure students are healthy safe and ready to learn. Working alongside teachers therapists and families youll provide essential medical support and help create a caring inclusive school environment.

What Youll Need

Current Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Minimum of two years nursing experience working with children (preferred)
Valid Virginia Drivers License
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm compassionate and organized in fast-paced situations

What Youll Do

Provide first aid manage medical emergencies and coordinate with families EMS and physicians
Maintain student medical records physicals and immunizations in compliance with regulations
Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans in collaboration with families and healthcare providers
Administer medications safely train staff on emergency medications and document all administrations
Monitor infection control procedures and communicate illness updates with families and health departments
