The successful Year 2 Teacher will deliver a well-structured Year 2 curriculum provide targeted interventions and prepare pupils for key stage assessments. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will work closely with phase leaders contribute to curriculum planning and use assessment to drive pupil progress. The Role
The Year 2 Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons run small-group sessions monitor pupil progress and report to parents. The Year 2 Teacher will collaborate with teaching assistants lead interventions and support smooth transition into KS2. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will start in January 2026 and contribute to curriculum development from January 2026. This role is based in Hemel Hempstead.
Person specification for the Year 2 Teacher
QTS/PGCE and proven experience teaching Year 2 as the Year 2 Teacher.
Strong knowledge of reading writing maths and assessment in Year 2.
Excellent communication classroom management and the ability to start January 2026.
