At RDT we continue strengthening our Automotive division by incorporating a Senior Android Platform Engineerto join one of our international projects focused on next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and digital cockpit systems.
What will your day-to-day look like
- Develop and customize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for automotive-grade hardware.
- Integrate the Android platform with vehicle ECUs and peripherals using automotive protocols (CAN LIN Automotive Ethernet).
- Debug and resolve complex system-level issues across the entire hardware and software stack.
- Optimize system performance stability and boot time for an enhanced in-car user experience.
- Collaborate closely with Hardware UI/UX QA and other cross-functional teams to deliver robust production-ready platform software.

Minimum Requirements
- Strong professional experience with C and Kotlin/Java.
- Deep understanding of Android OS internals (AOSP) HAL and Android framework components.
- Background in embedded systems development particularly embedded Linux.
- Excellent debugging and system-level problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with automotive communication buses such as CAN.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g. QNX).
- Understanding of embedded systems security principles.
- Experience with OTA (Over-the-Air) update mechanisms.
- Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
