Job Title: Team Leader-General Assembly Maintenance
Job Summary
The General Assembly Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the General Assembly area. This includes conveyor systems vacuum systems mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic components that support the vehicle assembly process. The role requires quick response to production issues adherence to safety standards and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems (slat skillet power & free chain and belt conveyors).
Inspect troubleshoot and repair vacuum systems used for part handling and cleaning operations.
Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues on GA equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot motors gearboxes sensors valves and actuators.
Work with PLC-based control systems (Siemens Allen-Bradley Mitsubishi) for fault tracing and recovery.
Conduct routine inspections adjustments and lubrication as per maintenance schedules.
Perform emergency breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
Support installation commissioning and modification of new or existing equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental regulations (LOTO PPE 5S ISO standards).
Update maintenance logs equipment history records and CMMS entries accurately.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems electrical circuits and PLC troubleshooting.
Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
Ability to read technical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Use of diagnostic tools (multimeters vibration meters pressure gauges etc.).
