About the Role:
As a long-term substitute teacher you will play a crucial role in maintaining a stable and enriching learning environment for our students. You will typically cover the same classroom for 14 consecutive days or more providing consistency and support to both students and staff. Your dedication and expertise will ensure that students continue to receive a high-quality education during the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Must have at least 60 college credits (trade/military backgroundmay be considered in lieu of college credit requirements)
- Must be fingerprinted and background checked
- Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Must be willing to work with children
Responsibilities:
- Cover classrooms when the permanent teacher is unavailable
- Interpret lesson plans left by the permanent teacher
- Manage classrooms from bell to bell
- Support other classrooms as needed
Please note that this position is for long-term substitute teachers covering classrooms for more than 14 consecutive days. While you have the option to select the school you prefer to work at you will need to adhere to the schools schedule during your assignment.
