We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON to lead a Nursing Home in Wexford Ireland.
Responsibilities
Support the DON in ensuring all policies procedures and guidelines are implemented across the home.
Provide strategic clinical leadership with the DON to ensure effective efficient and resident-centred nursing care.
Oversee all clinical documentation ensuring Epicare is consistently updated and accurate.
Conduct spot checks and internal audits completing follow-up actions and improvement plans.
Promote continuous improvement best practice and high-quality care within the home.
Act as Person-in-Charge in the DONs absence including engaging with HIQA and managing required notifications.
Review and monitor complaints and incidents completing all associated action plans.
Support clinical management including resident care staff communication performance monitoring policy development and training delivery.
Coordinate quality and safety systems including clinical risk management and staff coaching/appraisals.
Manage staffing (rostering supervision disciplinary processes) and lead by example while contributing to policy and standards development.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience as an ADON or acting ADON (desirable).
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Strong clinical competence with proven leadership communication and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of HIQA standards procedures and guidelines.
Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care (highly desirable).
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
