Description

We are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide mental health counseling to children and to the parents of children who are receiving services from Therapy Smarts Inc.

Requirements

Qualities that fit this opportunity

Experience: Psychotherapy: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification: License to practice in North Carolina (no supervision) (Required)
A Masters degree in Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related field.
Licensure or certification as required by state regulations (e.g. Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Empathy and the ability to build a therapeutic rapport with clients.
Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and evidence-based interventions.
Ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
