Job Summary

At LCRA we are looking for a motivated Energy Services Mechanic I to join our Dam and Hydro team. At an entry level you will be tasked to perform mechanical maintenance tasks in an energy services environment. This position develops competence by performing structured work assignments and receives instruction guidance and direction from supervisor manager and/or more experienced colleagues. You will be trusted to:

- Assist in the installation removal inspection repair testing adjustment alignment and installation of mechanical equipment related to assigned work area including high-voltage equipment.
- Assist with welding fiberglass piping repair pipe cutting and pipe fitting.
- Operate handheld manual tools and power tools in performing mechanical tasks.
- Prepare equipment and material for daily projects.
- Participate in training to gain greater knowledge of procedures tools and equipment operation pertinent to assigned work area. Learns to read blueprints diagrams schematics manuals parts lists etc.

You qualify with:

- Zero or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
- Drivers license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
