Job Summary

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Operating Room (General Surgery)
Location: Hyannis MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week 8-hour shifts (9:00 AM 5:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $40 $50 per hour

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Surgical Technologist Operating Roomfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments equipment drapes and solutions.
Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with hospital policies and AORN Standards of Care.
Perform scrub technician functions for all surgical specialties.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
Hold retractors cut sutures and assist in counting sponges needles and instruments.
Handle label and care for specimens for laboratory analysis.
Assist with applying surgical dressings and patient positioning.
Ensure availability of procedure-specific instruments and equipment.
Assist in patient transport to and from the operating room and recovery area.
Operate and maintain sterilization and surgical equipment as required.
Support OR turnover and restocking between cases.
Uphold patient privacy dignity and safety at all times.
Participate in staff orientation training and professional development.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Civilian or Military Surgical Technologist program.
National Certification (NBSTSA) required within 12 months of graduation and must be maintained.
Certification must be from an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
Current BLS Certification required.
Strong Orthopedic experience highly preferred.
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
