About the team and the role:
Were eBays Native Mobile team the group shaping how millions of users interact with eBays shipping experiences on iOS and Android. As our Native Engineering Manager youll lead a talented group of mobile engineers driving the next generation of end-to-end shipping solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll influence architecture guide technical strategy and stay close to the code. Youll collaborate closely with product design and backend partners to deliver seamless mobile experiences that make shipping on eBay smarter and simpler.
What you will accomplish:
Lead and develop a team of skilled iOS and Android engineers fostering technical excellence innovation and growth.
Set and drive technical direction across both platforms ensuring scalable high-performance and maintainable architecture.
Stay hands-on in iOS development contributing to design reviews architecture discussions and implementation when needed.
Partner cross-functionally with product design and backend teams to deliver intuitive end-to-end shipping experiences.
Champion engineering best practices including use of AI-assisted development tools automated testing and modern CI/CD workflows.
Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural health to ensure sustainable product growth.
Cultivate a culture of collaboration curiosity and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
What you will bring:
10 years of professional software development experience with at least 7 years focused on native mobile (iOS and Android).
Strong hands-on expertise in iOS (Swift UIKit SwiftUI Combine) and a solid grasp of Android (Kotlin Jetpack Compose).
2 years of experience leading or managing mobile engineering teams.
Proven record of delivering impactful large-scale consumer mobile products.
Deep knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVC MVVM MVI VIPER etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
A passion for user experience developer productivity and building high-quality products.
Experience in e-commerce or logistics is a plus.
