Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Qatar. As a key member of our senior leadership you will drive innovation lead multiple engineering teams and oversee critical projects that shape the future of our organization.
- Develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineering professionals fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Oversee multiple complex engineering projects ensuring timely delivery quality and budget adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and process improvements
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering challenges
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and safety standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients and partners
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Electrical Civil) or related field; advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in engineering roles including significant time in senior management positions
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale complex engineering projects
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- In-depth understanding of industry standards regulations and best practices
- Ability to drive technological advancements and process improvements
- Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning
- Experience working in a global multicultural environment is a plus
