Our client a prominent global banking institution is seeking a skilled Financial Engineering Business Analyst to join their Global Risk Analytics team in Krakow Poland. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic vision for the Financial Engineering infrastructure and drive regulatory and business-driven changes.
Position Overview
As a Financial Engineering Business Analyst you will support the Global Risk Analytics team in delivering the strategic vision for the Financial Engineering infrastructure and related changes driven by regulatory and business requests. You will play a crucial role in understanding current and target states for the Financial Engineering Infrastructure and modelling processes while effectively communicating across impacted teams such as Modelling teams users and IT.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of current and target states for the Financial Engineering Infrastructure and modelling processes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to produce business requirements and specifications for modelling infrastructure tooling innovation solutions and other changes
- Prepare AS IS and TO BE artifacts including impacts on the operating model and functional designs
- Assess changes against Future State Architecture to ensure alignment
- Support agile delivery and lead agile ceremonies to facilitate effective project execution
- Contribute to the preparation of test plans scripts and execute functional testing of changes
- Support the roll-out of changes by providing user training and other necessary communications
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative subject with a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking
- Understanding of credit risk particularly related to models such as PD EAD and LGD
- Strong background in business analysis within change delivery
- Proficiency in producing artifacts such as business requirements worked examples functional architecture data specifications and test plans
- Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in JIRA
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Python
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and diagram-drawing tools (such as Visio)
- Self-starter attitude with a can-do mindset excellent problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and FRM/PRM certifications (optional)
