Power BI admin Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking an Power BI admin Data Engineer. In this role you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model research on technologies independently recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. You will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh NCor Richardson TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience

• Hands on power BI Admin experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Implement Git-based version control for Power BI reports datasets Dataflows and Datamarts integrating with Power BI deployment pipelines for structured releases.
• Manage and optimize Azure Gateway connections for Snowflake Oracle and SQL Server ensuring secure and efficient data refresh operations.
• Configure and maintain Azure AD groupbased security for role-based access across reports datasets and workspaces.
• Create maintain and monitor Power BI Dataflows and Datamarts standardizing data ingestion and transformation across teams.
• Participate in development and enhancement activities building validating or optimizing reports datasets and Dataflows when required.
• Oversee and optimize dataset refresh performance workspace capacity and dataflow reliability proactively addressing performance and stability issues.
• Manage and resolve Power BI support tickets addressing access requests refresh failures and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with business users and leadership to understand reporting requirements communicate updates and align Power BI governance with strategic goals.
• Provide technical guidance to BI developers advising on best practices new Power BI features and model optimization techniques.
• Administer and monitor Power Apps and Power Automate environments managing connectors DLP policies and workflow governance.
• Automate recurring admin tasks including usage tracking license audits and refresh monitoring.
• Develop and maintain governance dashboards documentation and SOPs to track adoption refresh success and compliance.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools technologies and Power Platform innovations to enhance system efficiency scalability and governance.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face.
