Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis MA
Type: 13-Week Contract (Extendable)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights 3 Shifts per Week
Weekly Pay: $2439 (Gross Estimate)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a reputable healthcare facility in Hyannis MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing treating and caring for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders while adhering to established clinical protocols and standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunctions.
Initiate and manage ventilatory support recommend ventilator settings apply lung-protective strategies and perform ventilator weaning and troubleshooting.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including ABG draws sputum collection and bedside spirometry.
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABG) and perform capnography monitoring.
Provide respiratory care during intra-hospital and inter-facility transport.
Participate in emergency responses including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations.
Administer therapeutic gases and aerosolized medications.
Assist with bronchoscopy procedures conscious sedations and intubations.
Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care including airway maintenance and suctioning.
Manage tracheostomies and artificial airways documenting all relevant details accurately in the EMR.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds offering clinical input for respiratory care.
Ensure accurate documentation and daily charge reconciliation.
Maintain equipment and supplies ensuring proper function and availability.
Support education orientation and training for students and staff as needed.
Deliver compassionate patient-centered care while upholding professional standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
At least 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
