We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our Operations Department. The successful candidate will have electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience. They will be proficient in operating & supporting test systems and test equipment to verify the performance of integrated electro/opto/mechanical systems.
This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
Perform board level and system level programming and testing using automated test fixtures.
Perform optical alignment and testing.
Operate environmental stress screening (ESS) chambers through highly accelerated life testing (HALT)
Capture and document test data as part of production automated test procedures (ATP) and product traveler documentation.
Analyze test data in-situ and root cause test issues.
Work with engineers and manufacturing technicians to improve test procedures and fixtures.
Perform product assembly as needed including soldering potting and mechanical assembly.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate degree in general technical area is a plus
2-3 years experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience with operation of automated test fixtures printed circuit board assembly and testing cable harness production ESD control and handling optical components are a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent technical report writing skills
Basic electrical circuit and mechanical design knowledge sufficient for understanding of test fixtures including basic wiring and computer interfacing
Must be able to work in a challenging and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork creativity accountability and professional development
LabVIEW or ESS programming experience is a plus
Current IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 solder certification is a plus
