As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr Adv here at Honeywell you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes driving continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. In this role you will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your contributions will lead to increased efficiency reduced costs and improved quality in our manufacturing operations. Experience supporting production testing and continuous improvement of electro-hydraulic servo valves or similar devices. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of precision manufacturing processes fluid power systems and electro-mechanical integration to optimize production workflows enhance product quality and drive cost-effective solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead development of control plans process maps PFMEAs

Conduct time studies and analyze data to drive process improvements

Demonstrated success in process optimization continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Proficient problem-solving communication and project management skills.

Relevant experience in a production/manufacturing engineering role

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify develop and implement capacity models for investments in advanced manufacturing technologies

Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

Managing projects from ideation to implementation.



Responsibilities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics
  • 8 years of experience in manufacturing for aerospace or similar field
  • 2 years of experience in managing projects through ideation and technical implementation
  • 2 years of manufacturing floor support including troubleshooting equipment like automation torque tools and fixtures.
  • Lean six sigma green belt

  • Desired Advanced Engineering degrees like Industrial Engineering Aerospace Engineering ME (Mechanical Engineering) etc. based on job title
  • Lean six sigma black belt
  • Hands on experience in mechanical troubleshooting
  • Manufacturing experience understanding laser marking braze processes fixturing and tooling
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • An open honest and team-oriented personality
  • Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work
  • Willingness to learn new technologies

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers including aircraft manufacturers and operators and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems mechanical components and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every

5 seconds an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
