Job Summary
Join the BMS Hardware team to design mechanical components for HVAC controller platforms. You will create robust 3D models and drawings manage engineering documentation and BOMs and collaborate closely with ISC and cross-functional partners to bring designs from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain 3D mechanical models for HVAC controller platforms.
- Develop clear fully dimensioned CAD drawings and GD&T as applicable.
- Own engineering documentation: ECNs specifications and release packages.
- Manage and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOM) throughout product lifecycle.
- Partner with ISC/manufacturing on DFM/DFA tooling builds and issue resolution.
- Apply statistical methods for tolerance analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Support platform reuse standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and detailing for mechanical parts/assemblies.
English proficiency for technical communication and documentation.
1 year of experience as Mechanical Engineer
Experience with Team center NX Catia
WE VALUE
Experience with Creo (PTC CREO) for 3D modeling and drawings.
Exposure to HVAC controls electronics packaging or enclosure design.
Understanding of GD&T tolerance stack-up and basic statistics.
Familiarity with PLM systems and BOM management practices.
Collaboration with ISC/manufacturing for DFM/DFA and NPI builds.
