Robotic System Build Technician Intern Student

SUMMARY

The Robotic System Build Technician Intern will work with the Assembly team to learn the basics of assembly and learn the internal computer systems fasteners bolts and how to read prints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Organize parts carts; prepare parts on carts for returns (label and sort).
• Assemble change parts for production machines.
• Assemble customer orders before shipment
• Return fittings and fasteners to bins.
• Engrave hard plastic labels for change parts.
• Ensure that the assembly floor area remains well organized and free of clutter.
• Remove empty skids knock down cartons and remove discarded pads and any extra leftover product.
• Assist Assembly and Machine Testing as needed.
• Fill cups and bottles with salt or water to simulate product in machines.
• Re-size pads when needed for customer testing.
• Load machines with test products for check-out process.
• Clean machines for refurbishment for customer visits and for FAT.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic carpentry and/or mechanical skills preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a technical program.

Technical Skills and Abilities

• Able to use standard computer programs for work processing including Microsoft Office Products.
• Must have good knowledge of assorted hand tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand or walk for the majority of a workday.
• Speak and hear to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication in person or using the telephone; exchange ideas and convey detailed information accurately to co-workers supervisors vendors and others inside and outside the company.
• Apply physical mobility (reaching bending climbing crawling kneeling and arm and leg extension) to perform all assembly production activities.
• Possess extensive arm and hand mobility and strength to lift hold reach carry push and pull parts. Also able to move parts tools equipment and materials in and out of vehicles.
• Regularly lift 40 pounds; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• See and judge distances and space relationships to successfully complete detailed activities to fine tolerances including reading written plans and other documents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The majority of job duties are performed on the assembly floor with exposure to tools dirt dust chemicals metals and plastics varying temperatures construction noises and odors from production processes.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

The Robotic System Build Technician Intern must be able to:

• Operate pallet jack and automated skid shrink wrapper.
• Operate a drill press.
• Use general office equipment such as computer printer telephone fax machine copiers e-mail calculator and other such equipment.

Pay Range

• The hourly salary range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.
