About Samaya

Based in the heart of the Alps Samaya is a French outdoor equipment brand founded in 2018 by alpinists who believed the perfect tent had yet to be imagined. Samayas products are trusted by world-class athletes in some of the most extreme environments and have received multiple industry awards for pushing the boundaries on product design and technology and how people can consequently experience the mountains.

We design test and build our products entirely in-house from concept to field testing within one of the leading laboratories for outdoor innovation. Our team of engineers designers and marketers work shoulder to shoulder every day bringing together performance technology and creativity under one roof from first prototype to final campaign.

At our High Camp office near Lake Annecy youll find a large modern 1000 m² space with open-plan offices a showroom workshops research areas and multiple labs and test benches where our young and dynamic team is always ready for a mountain outing or a friendly get-together. The Role

As Samaya enters its next phase of growth were looking for a Head of Sales & Marketing to build the brands commercial and marketing foundation. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategy and execution ideal for a senior manager or team lead ready to take full ownership of brand and commercial growth in a fast-scaling environment.

Youll work closely with the founders to develop the brands global potential drive the profitability of the direct-to-consumer business and strengthen our relationships with key retail partners. Youll build systems shape campaigns and work directly within the tools and platforms that power our growth whilst mentoring a small but growing team.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

Depending on priorities you will focus on:

1. Growth & Commercial Strategy

  • Defining and implementing Samayas global growth roadmap in close collaboration with the founders.
  • Balancing brand positioning and sales objectives across e-commerce and B2B channels.
  • Translating strategic goals into clear actionable priorities for the team and partners.
  • Track KPIs across channels measure ROI and propose pragmatic improvement plans.

2. E-commerce & Performance Marketing

  • Lead the performance and profitability of the online business.
  • Optimise website experience conversion and retention through analytics CRM and testing.
  • Plan and execute campaigns across digital channels (SEO SEA social media email and automation).
  • Coordinate creative production campaign assets and brand consistency across all touchpoints.

3. B2B Development & Partnerships

  • Grow Samayas retail network and strengthen relationships with key accounts and distributors.
  • Support partners with sales materials product training and tailored marketing activations.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities that extend brand visibility and reach.

4. Brand & Communications

  • Lead the brands storytelling content and community engagement.
  • Oversee creation of visuals video and editorial content that reflect Samayas values and technical identity.
  • Manage media PR and event presence to amplify awareness and reputation.
  • Coordinate a small internal team and external specialists (freelancers agencies).

Requirements

Profile

  • 812 years of professional experience in sales and marketing within international outdoor and/or scale-up environments.
  • Proven ability to manage performance tools ecommerce and a tech stack (CRM analytics SEO/SEA automation social media and online advertising).
  • Experience managing small budgets efficiently and measuring ROI.
  • Entrepreneurial and hands-on: comfortable switching between strategic planning and operational execution.
  • Collaborative leadership style able to coordinate and motivate small teams and partners.
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are an asset.
  • Genuine interest in the outdoor world and alignment with Samayas purpose-driven culture.
