Civil Engineer (Power & Renewables) - Dublin 8

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review ITT documentation and prepare preliminary civil designs (earthworks drainage access roads structures compounds).
  • Assess civil engineering risks (ground flooding services environment) and define risk allowances.
  • Develop Civil Design Scope of Works and coordinate with designers and contractors.
  • Collaborate with estimators and electrical teams to align civil and electrical requirements.
  • Support programme and resource scheduling; attend site visits as needed.
  • Pre-Construction / Design Phase:
  • Support project handover from Estimating to Operations.
  • Coordinate with consultants and review civil designs for compliance and optimisation.
  • Attend design meetings and liaise with designers/contractors to ensure site readiness.
  • Assist in preparing subcontract packages and ensure adherence to client systems and standards.
  • Provide civil engineering support during construction.
  • Manage changes to civil works scope assessing risk cost and quality impacts.
  • Support temporary works reviews and conduct site visits/audits for compliance.
  • Review as-built drawings and verify completeness of civil works records.
  • Check H&S file submissions from designers/contractors.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification.
  • 2 years post graduate experience
