DescriptionTheCenter for Global Engagement (CGE)is seeking experienced English Language Instructors to join ourEnglish Language Institute.
Responsibilities- Teaches English language classes (reading writing speaking listening grammar) in the Academic and General programs in the English Language Institute.
- Assesses and reports student progress.
- Records class attendance.
- Teaches in both in-person and online environments.
- Understands teaching methodologies and tools including Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.
- Contributes to instructor professional development.
- Advises students on a range of cultural academic and personal matters referring students to the director and assistant director as needed.
- Participates in all instructor meetings.
- Participates in selected student activities.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Education:
- Experience:
- At least one year of experience as ESL instructor in higher education international education online education or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education:
- Experience:
- At least two years work experienceof experience as ESL instructor in higher education international education online education or related field.
Work Location
This is an on-site position. The successful candidate must be willing to work occasionally on weekends and evenings.
Compensation and Schedule
- $23.50 per hour
- Part Time Temporary Hours Vary
