Unit Position Summary
Intern Certified Athletic Trainers will assist in the comprehensive medical care of student-athletes at Michigan State University assist in the daily management of the athletic training facilities coordinate physician clinics and perform additional duties as assigned to support the operations of the Athletic Training addition to the clinical experience there will be advanced educational opportunities. This includes Osteopathic Manual Medicine skills and didactic sessions throughout the year. Individual and group mentoring will also help to guide development of competencies in athletic training. There will be opportunities to earn CEUs. There is a bi-weekly stipend for each position. Successful candidates will be required to subject to a criminal background check.
This position will begin in July or August 2026 lasting 10 months.
This position may include night or weekend shifts and may involve travel.
Required Qualifications
- BOC certification prior to start of employment
- State of Michigan Athletic Trainer license or be eligible to obtain
- Current CPR/AED certification
